Hire Policies

Additional drivers per rental can be added for an additional charge. They must be between the ages of 30 and 70 during the rental period. They must all be present at the vehicle collection.

To be covered by our insurance, drivers must be aged between 30 and 70 years of age during the rental period. Drivers between 71-74 may be insured by special request, please contact Go Luxury for more details.

If you wish to take the motorhome to mainland Europe there a charge of £10 per day for European cover – this cover is mandatory, and the minimum term is 7 days.

Go Luxury hire motorhomes may be taken to: Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Italy, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, Republic of Ireland, Spain, Sweden and Switzerland. Please check your route carefully and ensure it doesn't go outside these countries.

A Security Deposit of £1,000 is pre-authorised on a credit or debit card when you collect the motorhome. For pet friendly hires, the security deposit is £1500. This will be returned within 7 working days of the vehicle being returned, provided that there are no outstanding insurance claims.

When you collect a motorhome at the start of your rental, it will come with a full tank of fuel and is expected to be returned in the same state.

If the vehicle is not returned with a full tank, the following refuelling charges apply:

• 3/4 to full: £75
• 1/2 to 3/4 full: £90
• 1/4 to 1/2 full: £120
• Empty to 1/4 full: £140

There is no limit to the number of miles you can drive in the UK. If you take the motorhome to Europe, there is a daily limit of 250 miles. If this is exceeded, extra miles are charged at 40p per mile.

We accept payments by debit card, credit card (Visa and Mastercard only) and bank transfer. A deposit of £400 must be made at the time of booking with the remainder due 8 weeks before the start of the hire period. If your booking is made less than 8 weeks before the collection date, the full amount is payable on booking. Vehicles will not be released until the full payment has been received.

Pick up times are 2pm to 4pm Monday to Saturday.

You’ll need to allow at least an hour for handover to complete all paperwork and have a demonstration of your vehicle. All the drivers must be present at the handover and have their driving licence with them (international drivers must also bring their passport). You will also need your credit or debit card for the security deposit.

Return times are 9am to 11am Monday to Saturday and 10am to 12noon on Sundays.

The vehicle must be returned on the correct date, and before the time stated on the rental agreement. If you are going to be late, please let us know, otherwise there is the risk of prosecution for driving whilst uninsured. An additional charge of £100 per hour will be payable for all late returns.

Please allow up to 1 hour for the return handover at the hire centre.

Vehicles must be returned undamaged, with a full tank of diesel, empty waste water and toilet cassette and the interior clean and in the same condition as when it left the hire centre, otherwise a charge will be incurred.

Copy of their driving licence.

To rent a motorhome from Go Luxury, all drivers must have held a valid driver’s licence for at least two years that entitles them to drive a UK category B vehicle up to 3500kg MAM. This licence must be presented at the time of collection. You’ll also need to provide a DVLA driving summary within 21 days before collection.

Drivers will need to provide two proofs of address (such as a bank statement, utility bill or passport) dated within 90 days of the start of the hire.

Pre-authorisation of the deposit on a credit/debit card.

Drivers with a modern Northern Ireland licence, are required to provide both the photo card and the paper counterpart.

All drivers whose licences are issued outside of the EU are required to supply a valid international driving permit alongside their standard licence at the start of hire.

You must declare any endorsements on your licence. We can accept up to 6 speeding points. For more than 6 points, or for endorsements other than speeding Go Luxury may not be able to get cover. Please contact us directly for more information.

We may not be able to get insurance cover for certain occupations including celebrities, sports personalities, musicians, entertainers, serving foreign armed services personnel/UK based embassy employees or students.

You can bring two medium sized dogs on your trip at no extra charge. However due to the increased risk of damage, we will hold a £1500 security deposit (instead of £1000). Go Luxury reserves the right to deduct monies from the security deposit where necessary to cover additional cleaning and valeting fees and/or damage to the motorhome caused by a pet.

You must not leave pets unaccompanied in the vehicle.
